Benarkah Iskandar Bukan Zulqarnain review
December 16, 2009My teacher once said that Iskandar or Alexander the Great was not Zulqarnain that mentioned in the Quran because Alexander was not a Muslim or not a believer of Allah is the only God, so this is always in my mind and I bought the book to see who is the Zulqarnain then.
This book is a historical research on answering whether Alexander was the Zulqarnain which we kinda have impression that he was. So the answer from the book is yes, Alexander was not Zulqarnain and based on author with some evidences and arguments, the real Zulqarnain was King Kurush.
It is a nice book, it not only cover about Zulqarnain, it also mentions about previous prophets and the hereditary. I just have small issue which is OMG, please go slow with the names. I was lost with the name of this king and that king. I know that it is necessary but gosh I was lost.
Overall, it is a nice book.

Natrah Review
December 8, 2009I went to see theater: Natrah last Sunday. My first commercial theater. I watched theater a few times during undergraduate because my friend acting in one and one more to get credit so I know I don’t have problem with theater.
Natrah is based on true historical story in about 1945 where by Natrah who is Maria Hertogh, a dutch child was given to a Malay woman named Che Aminah because of war. She had been brought out as a Muslim and Malay culture. Then when she 13 years old, her parent want her badly and started a battle of custody between adopted mother and biological parent that brought to battle of religion and colonist and unsettling subjects that end with a riot in Singapore even though Natrah wanted to stay Muslim and leave with her adopted mother. The parent won the custody when marriage between Natrah and Mansor Adabi complicated the situation because Natrah was under age.
Overall I think it was a good theater. I don’t have any comparison since it was my first time but I enjoyed it. The most that touch my heart will be separation between Natrah and Che Aminah. I had teary eyes but didn’t cry because didn’t want to let a stranger see me cry.
However there are uhhmm moment like the song and singing part. I don’t really like the song. Sometime its felt too Bollywood and sometime didn’t click with the scene before. One more things was during part of Natrah and Mansor, I felt soo…what the word, in Malay ‘geli’ (Roha-chan describe this to me and was gigling and controlled laughing during the scenes). I totally had the same problem. I felt that it was too cliche…cheesy for my liking. The rest was okay. Even the props not that bad and they even had second floor building prop but felt funny when they have to push the props. Since it is a theater, it was understandable but Roha-chan did watch a theater in London and she said there was no pushing props and they made better transition of props. Okay theater producer, take notes.
However the story didn’t really satisfied my question and needs to check on Internet for better and extra information on what had happened. Maria or Bertha Hartough passed away in July 2009 when she was 72.
I don’t have picture. Picture with Roha-chan and they said only 20% ticket is left. Please check Istana Budaya website for more info. At website they say until 9 Dec but I heard during the show until 13 Dec. Maybe they extend it.
Oh yeah, I heard that Remy Ishak was beaten by a few people after theater. What had really happened?

A tiny secret..
December 4, 2009Let me tell you a tiny secret. I like guys who can speak other language than his native language. (Example is Malay guy can speak chinese or Tamil) I don’t care what language as long not his native and English. Yeah English because it widely spoken so it not sexy anymore. Sometime I melted just by listen…hehehe.
So I stumbled into this you tube video (I know, u don’t have to tell me I’m an addict)… he sang 10/12 languages. I know that he can speak all but…but….

Waiting at COE…
December 3, 2009I don’t know if you know COE=Center of Excellence. A complex for Proton Edar HQ for customer service. The complex just beside Kesas highway, Hicom exit. (But I normally using USJ road). Service center+showroom. So I sent my car for service over there because 20000km and normal service center that I went didn’t have spare part when I made complaints. Yes I had quite a few…
I estimated it will be completed around noon since my appointment is in the morning. So while waiting for my car being serviced, I roamed around and became crazy…
Then I became crazier…Taking picture at parking bay.
All this carbon fiber stuff make it look like a toy. Give me a chance to drive, then I’ll say otherwise.
Then roamed to their gallery. Yeah they have their chronology board..
When noon came I found out that they finished service but all my complaints not yet repaired. They said that completed late noon. So I cancelled my another appointment and wait some more.
While my car around here…
I read newspaper, what ever magazine, and surfed internet at their desktop. Later I became bored and no more energy… I just waited and waited and was completed and payment made around 4 pm. I checked everything was fine and happily went back home.
To service, need to make appointment. The number:03-80269167/9333. I dunno why I bother. Almost all my friends drive Produa.

Ghost 2 Review
December 1, 2009I dunno if people still remember the tv series. Completed after many months already. Sequel for Ghost where Cheryl continue being Eza, journalist/reporter. Got engaged with her boss, more matured and continue with investigation. Now the case of missing Alicia, daughter of Edmund Soo (big lawyer) and a ghost named Harum.
Yes, pretty sad that Zack Imran(Naz) was not around most of the time since he was supposed to be gone. But there were some hints make us hoping. They tried to fill in the void by featuring Adam but for me, not really working out.
Unlike the predecessor which is brilliant, I have to say this Ghost 2 just so-so for me. The real reason because it takes out all the things I like from Ghost 1, Zack Imran, Zack Imran & Eza, cute/naive Eza, and some funny moments. Ghost 2 was a bit too dark for my liking and I didn’t really care much about the characters who died. Let me just concludes that the mystery was okay but overall too depressing. I didn’t really like the ending. The only thing that striked me was Harum character and attire.
Rarely portrayed in drama.
Rating: 3.7/5

Random V…bout me.
November 28, 20091) I bought a sunglass. With powered lens because I don’t think I wanna wear contact lenses. I know once before, I will not buy not so necessary stuff…what had happened to me? I bought from optical shop that do promotion at my factory. They gave half price for the frame but since I want powered lens, not cheap anymore.T_T
Since the optician is super nice, and friendly, I’m doing free promotion their shop. The optician also mention that needs to be careful with prolong microscope (which my current job require me using microscope) usage because can affect the nerves ate the eyes and causing yellowish.
What ur gurls think my new sunglass? My bro said this is not necessity but created necessity. Screw him, I’m not afraid of noon sunshine anymore.
2) Pretty sad that most frens some where in other states. If not just come to their house and ask opinion.
3)I like holiday and long week-end… Selamat Aidil Adha everyone. As usual, people in office asked me whether I will ‘balik kampung’. How to answer that? Of course I’m going back to hometown but it is far that normally people assume kampung is so I just created.. yes, I ‘balik bandar’. Then everyone will straight away understand. Come one, I drove and the was traffic jam. Last journey, I used NKVE and some jam due to post accident and broken-down car. The I saw traffic to Ipoh? Jam!! So pity them while I cruise nicely. Hik….hik…hik…
4)Owh yeah, when ppl in office ask me where my hometown is? I said Hulu Kelang and most of everyone like huh… where? in their expression. Then I have to say Ampang which technically neighbour and ppl will sa oooo. Come on, we have Zoo Negara and what else… yeah Lemang Pak Ali okay. ‘Mentang2 ulu’…
5)I’m crazy and fanatic with Ramlee Awang Murshid’s book. I just know he came out with new book and searched for it near my office and my house but not yet arrive, Okay that means that both locations where suburban because the book not arrive yet. Sloooooow.
6)Some incident for Adha morning. My mom has prepared our tradition hari raya meal for breakfat, Bamia=chicken curry+lady finger+tomatoe-coconut milk eaten with bread but she suddenly realized the a mouse or cat ate prepared chicken, so no bamia for us this morning raya. Quite sad…
7)Roha-chan back from UK tomorrow, can’t wait to see the picture… Roha-chan, please make a long entry post okay.

Nur Kasih Review
November 28, 2009Nur Kasih has ended. The famous drama that pulls 2 millions people to stuck in front of tv. 24 millions click at the website. They network estimated 5 millions watch end episode. (Lets see tomorrow if the estimation is right). The drama which able to pull me back who left tv and watching the series and what could I say, it is crazy. Yes.. the tv commercials was like loooong. NVM that, understand the effect of famous drama.
Some synopsis even though every one must know by heart. Story about 2 brothers, Adam and Aidil. Aidil was the good, soft-hearted brother, studied syariah, then later on became shariah lawyer meanwhile Adam who was not a bad guy if following western standard, ambitious to became great architect, loving with a bit bad-tempered but so far from Islam standard, drink, not praying, living with non mahram, you get the idea.
Then both of them have to go home because their farther and this well it all started. Adam had issue with his dying father and I have to say, it was so touching when both Adam and his father resolved their issue. I had teary eye. However, it wasn’t end there, Adam had to marry Nur Amina who is actually Aidil’s love but Aidil sacrificed to make Adam better person. So Adam and Nur Amina married each other reluctantly especially Adam who showed his discomfort by leaving Nur and married his sweet heart Katrina.
Adam realized his mistake when his unborn child died because of accident caused by his drunk driving. He wanted to go back to straight path and so he went back to Malaysia and rekindled back his love towards Nur and his family. However Nur not so easily forgive and hurt and unable to trust Adam causing them not easily get back together. However in the end Nur knows that she love Adam and accepted him. Katrina also went from depression to accepting her fate but died in her lover’s arm, Adam.
However not everything went to smoothly. There is always a bad guy in every tv series and for Nur Kasih, the bad guy is Sarah. I have to say that Sarah character as bad guy totally convincing. She didn’t need best laid plan but only subtle words and she able to rock Aidil&Aliya and Adam&Nur relationship because she love Aidil and want him badly. Sarah character is convincing because it is real truth, words can cause misunderstanding and causing broken relationship. Most people must be happy when she had accident. Yeahh..she repented.
Does Nur and Adam able to be together after their hardship, distance and challenged? Yes of course happy ending, if not I wanted to light a fire to my tv. The most i like about the drama is relationship between brothers, Adam and Aidil. I was happy they put the scene between Aidil and Adam for the closure. Yeah I was that everything went well. I LOVE happy ending.
I have to say the drama was really nice, yeah a bit slow pace and so forgiven because some of the script were so touching and nice. Many teary moments…The videography is totally awesome, showing really nice view for the village and Jeddah and Makkah. The very best for Malaysian standard. Some detail is awesome and how to make us suspense and misguided. However some awkward moments will be during Mumbai attacked and Adam’ s capture and rescued. Very…not so convincing. I know budget..but I was like ha? Nice try though.
Overall it was okay and ending was okay but ending was a bit soured because while watching the ending, when Adam returned home, my mom and my dad kinda laughing because Adam looked like a Bangladeshi…with dishevelled face and the cloth. Hard to concentrate and get teary eyes when my parent were kik…kik…kik..at the background. But it was a nice ending.
I do not know whether I’ll get excited again to watch malay drama. Hope it won’t stop here but for sure Nur Kasih raised quite a bar for malay drama…end for now…excuse me, I’m going to search for the DVD.

Nasi campur+ayam kampung (Mixed rice+village chicken…Muahahaha)
November 20, 2009My lunch at Section 7, Shah Alam. Nyam…nyam. Even with ‘budu’. Yes Roha-chan and Wa-chan introduced budu to me and no stopping since then. I can’t remember the restaurant’s name but the ‘ayam kampung’ is written at the shop sign.
I like ‘ayam kampung’ even it smaller or nicer term leaner.
