My activities during CNY
I didn’t stay long in KL because I didn’t take extra leave. Sadly, now I’m back in Rompin.
1. My usual activities when back in KL, renting movies but not much interesting movie available.
2. I checked out new shopping complex near my house, KL Festival City. I know right what’s up with the name. Everyone has been asking whether that’s the real name or is it temporary. The shopping mall has many outlets than other malls near my house but slight more on pricing. Not many restaurant but some aren’t at other malls. Can you believe that I couldn’t find car park exit. I was lost in car park..
3. I visited my old friend who very long time I didn’t meet. The previous time I met her, she was single and that day, I visited her 2 months baby. Aih why I waited for so long to meet her? BTW I bumped into a friend of mine who I met in same group as my friend. What a coincidence but also awkward because I dunno small talk.
4. Steamboat with Roha-chan at Steamboat, Ikano. Wah! Quite far for a feast right? Initially I planned to go to KL to see claimed road emptiness but didn’t because rain. BTW, the emptiness was all lies. A lot of people at Ikea and on the road but yup no traffic jam.
5. Monday was stay-at-home-doing-nothing day and Tuesday was going-back-to-Rompin day. I’m guessing the rest of you also had a nice holiday well except for Epun and Cik Mah. oupss…sorry for trolling.

Kuantan & Pantai Teluk Cempedak
Last week end (actually another week end, I’ve been drafting this far too long), all my colleagues except me and one of my colleague involved in program in Pekan. Since we were left alone in Rompin, we decided to go to Kuantan (typical destination for outing).
While we driving to Kuantan, we made a stop at Pekan to see the rest of our colleagues.
Then we off to Kuantan to Megamall (Yup, Kuantan also have a Megamall but a slight empty).

While waiting for my friend, I saw this grouup of aunties dancing while wearing cheongsam. I don't condone woman wearing sexy cloth and dancing but I like how they stay active and keep fit. Should be an example but for dancing, better in closed door.
Then we went to Teluk Cempedak (TC for locals). At first I expected TC wouldn’t be beautiful because this is not in Terengganu but when I saw it, well its not bad. Totally better than in PD.
end of post.
Aurat (aurah)
I mentioned this because something happened to one of my friend.
I’m renting a house with non-muslim. This has been questioned with one of my friend because when we studied during school, we were told that aurat between muslim woman and non-muslim woman is same as muslim woman and non-mahram man. However during my university years, I found out that there is another khilaf that the aurat will be like muslim woman with muslim woman and I’ve been hold onto this opinion because it kinda hard in hostel. Since my current friend asked me about this, I rechecked with internet and found out that 2 opinions because of interpretation of`auNisaa’ ihinna’. Some ulama says it is mean muslimah and some ulama says good and nice woman.
So I’m going back to my main point. So my friend joined this one course only for woman. The instructor also tudung wearing woman. What so upsetting was she was posting pictures at of my friends at her facebook page (and later on we found at her blog) because she was promoting her business. Some of the picture show my friend with out tudung and this truly make my friend and me mad because she should know better. She also wearing a proper tudung so she should understand and respect other muslim woman. I realize that even my non-muslim housemates showing more respect because they never bring any guys or only their mothers enter the house while their father wait outside. However, person who should know better didn’t do the same.
The instructor removed the picture after my friend asked her to but she should never show that pictures in the first place.
I’m ranting here on behalf of my friend….

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Kimi to Boku, Un-Go and Natsume Yujin-chou san
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (I don’t have many friends)
This anime is a ‘school life’ genre. The story is about a group of school mates especially two social awkward students who made a club for those who has no friend in hope that it will help them in getting friend. Members of the club are; a boy who doesn’t have friend because other people judge him wrongly, a girl who can’t express her words nicely, beautiful and famous girl who can only look down at others, a girl otaku, a boy who looked likes a girl (I still confused whether he is really a boy who look likes a girl or a girl who wanna be a boy), a gothic cosplayer who is also the boy’s sister and a very young nun as their club teacher. The club has been their sanctuary and they become friend with out they realizing it.
The first thing I noticed when I watch this anime was the lead guy who has blond hair (some people would questioning my surprise because anime characters could have what ever hair color, but typical lead character in this genre usually have dark hair). Then I understand why they chose that color because it is script/story purpose. He doesn’t have friend because his schoolmates mistook him as delinquent.
I like this anime because I like the characters and how they interact. Even though most of the characters are typical anime characters but the dialogue and interaction quite close to real life. I also have a favorite moment when the lead guy remember who Yozora (lead girl) was. So sweet….

Kimi to Boku
Sometimes if the story is interesting, I love school life genre. My favorite anime in this kind of genre are Azumanga Daioh and K-On. However when I watched these animes, I was a bit aggrieved because all the characters are female. So I was a bit disappointed because I couldn’t watch guys character but ‘Kimi to Boku’ is the answer for my wish. School life drama about friendship with male as main characters. I’m happy which also mean I’m ‘straight’.
This anime tell stories about a group of best friends in 2nd year of high school that have been friend since kindergarten. Yuuki and Yuuta are identical twin who have similar traits but with different personality. Yuuki is more laid-back and have devil may care attitude than Yuuta but they are very close. Shun who is soft and feminine, Kaname is the guy who’s wearing spectacle, the student council and class monitor and Chizuru, the bubbly, happy-go-lucky and talkative Japanese speaking foreigner. The anime tell about their love story, friendship and normal issue at school and sometime their antics quite hilarious and make you smile because it might had happened to you during school.
Really…really nice but them being guys is a plus.

Un-Go
Detective/mystery/deduction meets supernatural story. Shinjirou is a private detective who is nicknamed “The Defeated Detective” because he presumably always beaten by Rinroku Kaishou who also famous detective who investigate cases from computer because he also created a nation security system. Even though Shinjirou is “The Defeated detective”, he isn’t really making mistakes in solving cases but his cases usually involve in national security issue so mostly have been covered up and said has been solved by Rinroku Kaishou and police. Shinjirou also accompanied with Inga as assistant and this is where the story goes supernatural. Inga is not actually human and there is also Kazamuri Sasa (Real Artificial Inteligence). Other character would be Rie Kaishou and many more but I don’t really see the significant of other characters.
The cases are a bit different because it also involving war, terrorism and so on but off course there are cases solving who killed who. Since there are also supernatural part, some cases includes supernatural environment and Shinjirou needs to consider supernatural part in solving the cases.
Sometime it was a bit confusing for me.

Natsume Yujin-Chou san
I have to say this upfront. I totally LOVE, I mean L.O.V.E this anime. This is my favorite for long running anime. It has suspense, horror, sweet drama, sweet life, bitter sweet loneliness and friendship. What could not love about this anime.
This is the third season for this anime. I know that I’m late because they showing the fourth season now. I’m now watching the fourth season. Natsume continue seeing spirit/ghosts/monster and he still returning name of spirits from “Book of Friends” which previously belong to his late grandmother. So in this season, Natsume getting better term with his adopted parents, his close friends who he is keeping the secret of being able to see spirits, his close friends who know his secret, his old ally but he also have some non- good people or spirits like a clan of exorcist. This anime is so sweet, I keep remembering episode where a ghost liked to tease Natsume when he was a child but during that time, he hated it but then he grow up and experience many things and so he realized the ghost intention.
I like the drawing, the pace, the song. Everything suited with each other and give a really nice anime.
One word to describe this anime “Bittersweet”.

I have nothing new to offer because I really stayed at home for last holiday and I have about 3 books yet to be finished and I’m confused with anime that I have been watching because I’m not really sure whether it’s ended or not. So I don’t even have any review to post.
So most possibly no post until maybe like CNY.

My last rice meal for end of year till I drop a few kgs. I restart my diet but I go to not so strict because I foresee very long months to shed a few kgs. No RICE..huk..huk..s
Till later…

SnoWalk, i-City Shah Alam
I think I’ve been scammed or I misunderstood the quotes promoted at Groupon. I thought I already bought for 4 person but when I tried to redeem, the voucher was for 2. I had to queue to buy another 2 entrance ticket. It stated RM25 per ticket but that time, they only asked RM20. The jacket is together with the entrance ticket.
I don’t have scenery pictures. Most of pictures are camwhoring pictures. Pardon me…
Actually spending time with my bffs is the most enjoying part even though only watch Sherlock Holmes 4 halfway to finish because a slight change of plan. Well I’m going to re-watch it when the DVD out. Couldn’t really understand what they were saying.
Happy New Year!! When I’m writing this entry, I still dunno what I’m going to do for this long week and to make matter worse I’m in Rompin (actually it isn’t bad, if not I already KL right now. Well, I’m staying, it means that I don’t hate Rompin much)

‘Gotong-royong’ again…
Since I works in gov sector, I’ve been involved with many strange tasks. Okay it weren’t really strange but you got the idea.
Well I had been to gotong-royong for 2 days back to back. The first day was for slaughtering a cow and second day was for bubur asyura.
The first day, even though I wasn’t directly slaughtered a cow, I was busy slicing ingredient for vegetables. Yup, we have quite a big lunch with beef soup, fried beef, fried vegetable, rice, spice marinated fried chicken and… okay that was all.
The next day was for bubur asyura. The thing is, I never really know what bubur asyura because my mother never made it of it she made it, I don’t remeber. The only thing I know about it was my aunt would gave us bubur asyura and we ate. That’s it. Then I started to check with internet and I’m getting confused because the date is 10 Muharram, isn’t that date of Syiah mourning day? However when I asked around, people say it was not related to that but on Nabi Musa a.s or Nabi Nuh story. Well I’m not really sure but what I do know is, if boss want to make bubur sugha, we make bubur sugha. I think making bubur asyura is more on tradition.

Stir all the ingredients. I didn't mention rice, coconut milk, green beans, water, coconut oil, sugar palm, corn
I also helped stirring okay but after a bout 1-2 minutes, I surrendered. It was hand work out. While waiting for hours and hours, we chatted, someone karaoked and I, here it is, I’m going to touch on sensitive issue. Northern bubur asyura vs east coast’s. I really have to be careful here because I’ve been with this issue with 2 of my bffs during university year. Most of us can’t take the rest other version as bubur asyura. I just heard about it and never seen it before and I was shocked when I heard that there is beef in bubur syura. Man I was blur when my bff explained. Since my boss is Kelantanese, we were making east coast version.
A very small group of my co-worker including me (my mother from north) were ganged up about our bubur asyura and how for us kinda unacceptable when spices and sweetness come together. We like our sweet version that come from sugar palm, fruits, nuts and plants instead of combination of sweet and spices. But then there is one of my colleague from east coast who was there with us and she was like saying that this was influenced from Arab which also known for spices and she gave inclination that this is more authentic version. I just stay silenced but I was laughing inside because yup, I thought this would happen. Figure…My boss also making me awkward when he asked which one better. I stay quiet and smile so he knew that I prefers northern version.
Hear me out, I’ve nothing against east coast version but if they just put a tiny bit of sugar, I would think that it is awesome dish. We have 3 kawahs (big wok) for; one chicken instead of beef and 2 with beef. We also have silent competition on which one is nicer and I like my group because they went slow with the sugar. They used about 1/5 of sugar than other kawah and put more salt. I’m sorry but I hardly could eat the other 2. Soo sweeeeet…
I like the atmosphere. Now I understand why kampung-kampung like to have gotong-royong. Very lively. Oh I heard there is another version, southern style that same as bubur lambuk…here we go again.
