Random V…bout me.

November 28, 2009

1) I bought a sunglass. With powered lens because I don’t think I wanna wear contact lenses. I know once before, I will not buy not so necessary stuff…what had happened to me? I bought from optical shop that do promotion at my factory. They gave half price for the frame but since I want powered lens, not cheap anymore.T_T

I just realized that I look like someone just went out from 'mahkamah shariah'

Since the optician is super nice, and friendly,  I’m doing free promotion their shop. The optician also mention that needs to be careful with prolong microscope (which my current job require me using microscope) usage because can affect the nerves ate the eyes and causing yellowish.

Enson... Near Bintang

What ur gurls think my new sunglass? My bro said this is not necessity but created necessity. Screw him, I’m not afraid of noon sunshine anymore.

2) Pretty sad that most frens some where in other states. If not just come to their house and ask opinion.

3)I like holiday and long week-end… Selamat Aidil Adha everyone. As usual, people in office asked me whether I will ‘balik kampung’. How to answer that? Of course I’m going back to hometown but it is far that normally people assume kampung is so I just created.. yes, I ‘balik bandar’. Then everyone will straight away understand. Come one, I drove and the was traffic jam. Last journey, I used NKVE and some jam due to post accident and broken-down car. The I saw traffic to Ipoh? Jam!! So pity them while I cruise nicely. Hik….hik…hik…

4)Owh yeah, when ppl in office ask me where my hometown is? I said Hulu Kelang and most of everyone like huh… where? in their expression. Then I have to say Ampang which technically neighbour and ppl will sa oooo. Come on, we have Zoo Negara and what else… yeah Lemang Pak Ali okay. ‘Mentang2 ulu’…

5)I’m crazy and fanatic with Ramlee Awang Murshid’s book. I just know he came out with new book and searched for it near my office and my house but not yet arrive, Okay that means that both locations where suburban because the book not arrive yet. Sloooooow.

6)Some incident for Adha morning. My mom has prepared our tradition hari raya meal for breakfat, Bamia=chicken curry+lady finger+tomatoe-coconut milk eaten with bread but she suddenly realized the a mouse or cat ate prepared chicken, so no bamia for us this morning raya. Quite sad…

7)Roha-chan back from UK tomorrow, can’t wait to see the picture… Roha-chan, please make a long entry post okay.

Nur Kasih Review

November 28, 2009

Nur Kasih has ended. The famous drama that pulls 2 millions people to stuck in front of tv. 24 millions click at the website. They network estimated 5 millions watch end episode. (Lets see tomorrow if the estimation is right). The drama which able to pull me back who left tv and watching the series and what could I say, it is crazy. Yes.. the tv commercials was like loooong. NVM that, understand the effect of  famous drama.

Some synopsis even though every one must know by heart. Story about 2 brothers, Adam and Aidil. Aidil was the good, soft-hearted brother, studied syariah, then later on became shariah lawyer meanwhile Adam who was not a bad guy if following western standard, ambitious to became great architect, loving with a bit bad-tempered but so far from Islam standard, drink, not praying, living with non mahram, you get the idea.

Then both of them have to go home because their farther and this well it all started. Adam had issue with his dying father and I have to say, it was so touching when both Adam and his father resolved their issue. I had teary eye. However, it wasn’t end there, Adam had to marry Nur Amina who is actually Aidil’s love but Aidil sacrificed to make Adam better person. So Adam and Nur Amina married each other reluctantly especially Adam who showed his discomfort by leaving Nur and married his sweet heart Katrina.

Adam realized his mistake when his unborn child died because of accident caused by his drunk driving. He wanted to go back to straight path and so he went back to Malaysia and rekindled back his love towards Nur and his family. However Nur not so easily forgive and hurt and unable to trust Adam causing them not easily get back together. However in the end Nur knows that she love Adam and accepted him. Katrina also went from depression to accepting her fate but died in her lover’s arm, Adam.

However not everything went to smoothly. There is always a bad guy in every tv series and for Nur Kasih, the bad guy is Sarah. I have to say that Sarah character as bad guy totally convincing. She didn’t need best laid plan but only subtle words and she able to rock Aidil&Aliya  and Adam&Nur relationship because she love Aidil and want him badly. Sarah character is convincing because it is real truth, words can cause misunderstanding and causing broken relationship. Most people must be happy when she had accident. Yeahh..she repented.

Does Nur and Adam able to be together after their hardship, distance and challenged? Yes of course happy ending, if not I wanted to light a fire to my tv. The most i like about the drama is relationship between brothers, Adam and Aidil. I was happy they put the scene between Aidil and Adam for the closure. Yeah I was that everything went well. I LOVE happy ending.

I have to say the drama was really nice, yeah a bit slow pace and so forgiven because some of the script were so touching and nice. Many teary moments…The videography is totally awesome, showing really nice view for the village and Jeddah and Makkah. The very best for Malaysian standard. Some detail is awesome and how to make us suspense and misguided. However some awkward moments will be during Mumbai attacked and Adam’ s capture and rescued. Very…not so convincing. I know budget..but I was like ha? Nice try though.

Overall it was okay and ending was okay but ending was a bit soured because while watching the ending, when Adam returned home, my mom and my dad kinda laughing because Adam looked like a Bangladeshi…with dishevelled face and the cloth. Hard to concentrate and get teary eyes when my  parent were kik…kik…kik..at the background. But it was a nice ending.

I do not know whether I’ll get excited again to watch malay drama. Hope it won’t stop here but for sure Nur Kasih raised quite a bar for malay drama…end for now…excuse me, I’m going to search for the DVD.

Nasi campur+ayam kampung (Mixed rice+village chicken…Muahahaha)

November 20, 2009

My lunch at Section 7, Shah Alam. Nyam…nyam. Even with ‘budu’. Yes Roha-chan and Wa-chan introduced budu to me and no stopping since then. I can’t remember the restaurant’s name but the ‘ayam kampung’ is written at the shop sign.

The 'ulam '(raw herbs) like a bush but total cleared afterwards.

I like ‘ayam kampung’ even it smaller or nicer term leaner.

Review Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh: Penakluk Konstantinopel

November 19, 2009

Well suddenly I felt I wanna buy the book while waiting my Q at Tabung Haji (sooo long). I read an article about the Sultan somewhere in the net previously. So this book is a novel/history/biography but in novel structure by Abdul Latip Talib about Sultan Muhammad (1432-1481) who was able to topple down Rome empire and conquer the Constantinople even though other predecessors were unable to do so because Nabi Muhammad (s.a.w) said: Constantinople will fall to a the best king, the best soldier, and the best subject-Imam Ahmad’.

This book is a good read because we can get some view on how  nice Islamic Empire was but watch out on a few thing because of some element of tajalli? Salafi? and praying near ‘alim’s grave’?? I dunno, I’m not too sure about that but the rest were okay. A good read and Sultan Muhammad Al-Fattah was really a good king and subject.

National Musuem??

November 5, 2009

Who is being guilty of not going to tourist spots even though you live so near? I’m guilty as said because I live about 5mins-10mins from Zoo Negara and always passes by Museum Negara from my work place. Each time I passed it, I made a promise to make a visit.

One Saturday morning, I decided to stop by during a journey home. I’ve been to museum when I was a kid but I can’t recalled any of it. So I paid RM2 for parking ticket and checked what the museum offers.

They have ‘orang asli’ (aborigines) museum a bit outside main building and I think it kinda small. They show weapon that being used, art and stuff like that.

1st floor of that building, they have ‘Malay nusantara’ so I went it and checked it. I didn’t know that they characterise Iban, Kadazan and some other ethnic as one category and they mention Malay in other countries. Some similarity and difference. They exhibit attire, culture and so on. Even I’m a Malay, why this fascinates me? You see I was disturbed by some Indonesian’s claim that we stole their culture like batik, rendang, tarian pendet (not ours, never claim ours, not islamic summore) and I dunno what else. I wanted to clarify myself and what I found out: it seems that we never claimed batik as just our own. Batik has been around in Indonesia, my country, Thailand and Cambodia because we really are ’serumpun’. Even my grandfather race in my father birth certificate is Javanese. Out of topic, why I found mannequins in museum a bit creepy especially when sole mannequin is displayed?

Then I checked outside:

Istana Satu (model of traditional Malay castle)

Inside the Istana, very antique

To main building and I was at the backyard and the museum made special exhibition of traditional game and the place full of kids. I mean I couln’t find my age, owh yeah except the teachers and parents. (Always thought that I below 25 yrs old, pish..). They were playing some game and recognized some, ‘tarik upih’, ’sepak raga’, ‘getah’, and also inside the main building’ lobby such as ‘dam(checkers)’, ‘wau(kite)’ and games I’ve never seen before.

DSC08606

Full of school kids trying and playing around

DSC08607

During my childhood, we called it teng teng. I was so wanna jump in but since my gang was not with me, I didn't have thick face enough

.

The main building which has 4 main galleries and 2 additional area for music instrument and Asean exhibition. The ticket is RM2.

4 main galleries for very ancient time(paleolithic, neolithic), old Malay state, colonial era, and Malaysia now. Some snippets of my thought while viewing the exhibition:

1) Paleolithic. The stones really just look like a normal stone but I have just to believe that the archeologist know what they are doing…
2) On portuguese ship kinda cool. Nicer if I could snap a picture. So sad went alone…
3) I’m so wanna the bunga mas. Is it real?
4) I didn’t know that ‘tengkolok’ or ‘tanjak’ (head-gear) for each Sultan has different designs. Fascinating and the names..
5) Museum Negara has additional task of changing exhibition for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong every 5 years…

DSC08608

A rainforest in the museum...hik...hik

My humble opinion is the visit was nice but hope it can improve more. Needs more interactive especially for kids. Why can’t we have like a photo session that we can dress up during other era?, pay also don’t mind (as long not expensive lah). Put more cool stuff that can attract young people.

Well that is it. Already so long. Zoo Negara next.
