Heroes and Prison Break

Yes, I’ve been missing because nothing much happened (I don’t even have random thought that I can put in Random category) except that I had been ‘marathon’ for Prison Break tv series which explains today’s post.

Heroes Season 3 (Volume 4), season 4

This volume continued with the rest of characters but this time around, people with special power become fugitive when Nathan Petrelli who is now a senator or governor (don’t ask me details) takes a task to search and lock people with special power up. So most of the main characters are on the run. Sylar still killing people but not as bad because he is searching for his biological father or is that for the next season. Well I can’t recall much. As you can see, I totally get it why rating for heroes was dropping when they showing it. Hiro Nakamura getting back his power. Okay I gave up on recalling the story.

Season 4 is a bit better than season 3. Everyone is back to normal life. Peter become a paramedic and due to his power, he can arrive quickly to scene and saves more life. Claire Bennet goes to college but the are incidents in college that makes her wondering if she really suit to live a normal life. Nathan Petrelli was dead in previous season but there is Sylar that think he is Nathan after Matt and Angela Petrelli makes Sylar think he is Nathan but he has identity crisis. Hiro and Ando back in Tokyo but this season focus on troupe that gather people with power and live together in carnival (I know, kinda lame here). However the leader has secret that could shake the earth. It was a bit better but seriously, a carnival? Even when they tried to convince Claire to join them and she got interested, I was like, really? I totally don’t buy living in a carnival. Sadly the show was cancelled and left the last episode with quite a cliffhanger.

Prison Break season 1-4

How should I describe my feeling towards this series? Really..really LOVE it. Okay I’m very slow poke and the shows has been finished 2 years ago but I just watched it okay. I wasn’t following when it aired because when I watched it, it looks slow or I watched in a middle of episode or season and this series only suitable to watch it from the start. So I just got hang on to all episodes and I did ‘marathon’.

The first season follows Michael Scofield shot a weapon during robbery and went to prison. The real reason he went to prison was because he planed to save his brother who was in death row for killing vice president’s brother and his plan was so detailed that he had to tattoo his secret plan on his body. This series is brilliant not only because it has the incredible plan and method to break from prison, it also has drama and each main character has the set of story on how they get into prison. The main characters are Michael Scofield, (brilliant structural engineer), Lincoln Burrows (Michael’s bro who was framed, a street thug), T-Bag (rapist/murderers), C-Note (ex-military), Sucre (Micheal’s cellmate), Westermore (old inmate), Bellick (warden), Pope(head warden) and a few more. For outsider, it has Veronica (lawyer/Lincoln’s girlfriend) and Sara(prison doctor). So the 1st season focus on how Micheal would break out from prison to save his brother. I conclude that this story is brilliant.

Season 2 continue with them becoming fugitives after they succeed in escaping Fox River prison. However the hardest part for breaking the prison is stay outside when every cop and people knows you a fugitive. So Micheal continue with his plan to disappear together with Lincoln while some of the group wanna stuck with him because they were seeking for D.B Cooper money. While doing that, Micheal and Lincoln also must find way to free Lincoln from his charge since he was innocence. However a group call The Company wanna stop them seeking justice by killing them and they gave the task to outstanding but an addict FBI agent, Mahone. I kinda felt this time around kinda slow pace and too many other character’s drama like each character with their family but kinda understood because they wanna shows each fugitive’s ending.

Season 3 is just 13 episodes and that was a good choice because if they put it longer, it going to be super boring. Lincoln was free from his murder charge but unfortunately Micheal was not. He was caught by Panama police and was sent to sick prison called Sona. The prison was really hardcore because since there was a riot in the prison, all the guards stay out from prison building and only guard outside. So the inmates could do anything they want inside the prison but could be shot dead by guards if they tried to escape. So Michael must find ways to break out from prison and bring along Whistler or The Company would kill LJ (Lincoln’s son) and Sara in a week. I have to say that this is  not my favourite season because I didn’t feel attached with this season character, a bit slow, not showing much of Micheal cleverness and not a refined prison, characters and story but there is shocking part. I was like NOOOOO!!!. I can’t give much spoiler.

The final season is also brilliant. I like the concept which the first part is almost everyone gathered to bring down The Company by getting Scylla (‘the company’s black book’).They have to steal 6 cards data from 6 people and each card holder normally were highly guarded. So Micheal and his team must find ways to get the cards, steal Syclla to gain freedom after they were found by someone from Homeland Security, Don Self. The 2nd part is the final step fail and they have to choose whether to continue bringing down The Company or stays on the run and there was also crazy hard choice that Micheal need to make. The final episode felt abrupt but still with ‘good ending’ and special last episode also brilliant but oh so T_T. Good ending but once again, I can’t give spoiler.
